Every Downtown Frame Up Blog reader fears the prospect of water damage Bountiful resulting from an unexpected flood. They quite rationally fear this prospect because they own property that can be damaged (and damaged quite severely mind you) by water should it come in contact with water. As is well known whether a structure is made of wood or metal it can still be damaged by water. This is because wood can rot and become moldy once it has become water logged. Moreover, metal can rust through the process of oxidization once it comes in contact with water.
THE SPECTRE OF WATER DAMAGE BOUNTIFUL
The sword of Damacles that is the prospect of water damage hangs precariously over the head of every property owner. We all must accept the fact that we can not take our property with us into the afterlife. In this respect can it truly be said that we own anything? The answer to this question of course is beyond the scope of a three hundred word article. Putting that aside we still must make our own way in this world and making our way in the world requires us to protect what is ours while we still hold breath in our lungs.
And so we proceed forth with bravery and faith. We are brave in the face of every danger this world can throw our way. We have faith that some how it will all work out in the end. Call it divine providence or call it blind luck if you wish. The truth is that some people traverse their journey through mortality unscathed whilst others (think of Job for example) have more than their fair share dumped upon them from above. None of this is under our control and we must learn to accept this somewhat uneasy state of affairs.
